Students,

Passionate  about SOCIAL  JUSTICE?

Serve as a BONNER LEADER  AMERICORPS Member and Build Your Leadership Skills!

Information Sessions (102 Sproul):  February 20, 5-6pm; February 27, 4-5pm

*Work to end  homelessness in the Bay Area

*Help end inequities  in Berkeley public schools

*Help achieve  housing justice and immigrant rights for low-income Bay Area residents

*Be an advocate for individuals impacted by  incarceration

*Assist low income  communities with tax preparation

*Earn an $1175  AmeriCorps Education Award in the

Bonner Leaders serve as interns in local  non-profit organizations, community-based organizations and the Cal Corps  Public Service Center including: Alternative Breaks,  Cal in Local Government, Cal in the Capital, C.R.E.A.T.E., Oakland  Community Builders, Magnolia Project, Residential Service Initiative and VITA.  Bonner Leaders are eligible to receive a $1,175 education scholarship at the  completion of the year of service.

**Students planning to graduate in December of 2013 are eligible to apply, however they must commit to participating in the program through April/May 2014**?

Bonner Leaders is a program of the Cal Corps Public  Service Center at UC Berkeley, which connects ideas, resources, and people to  act for social justice, build healthy communities, and foster life-long  commitments to public service. The Center partners with the community, student  leaders and faculty to engage over 4,000 students each year as volunteers, and  through jobs, internships, and courses.
