Fisher v. University of Texas: Save Campus Diversity!

From the United States Student Association:

As you might have heard the U.S. Supreme Court is planning on deciding the future of equal opportunity. In the case of Fisher v. University of Texas, the Supreme Court will be reconsidering its 2003 precedent in allowing colleges and universities to consider race and ethnicity as one of many factors within their admissions policy guidelines.

As students we understand that having a diverse student body not only enriches our educational experience but also allows us to interact with other values, ideas, and cultural identities.

This Fall, in the Fisher v. University of Texas, the Supreme Court will be making a decision on all ofOUR behalf, determining whether or not diversity at OUR colleges and universities should be OURpriority. A negative ruling would have a profound impact on our education, society, and workforce. We must let the Court know that campus diversity matters to students and that it should be OURdecision.

In order for us to make a real impact on the Court’s decision, we must collect 25,000 signatures to show the justices that our voice matters. Please stand with millions of students across this nation to #SaveCampusDiversity by signing on to this student brief to the Supreme Court and sharing your story at SaveCampusDiversity.org.

UC Berkeley, sign this petition and #SaveCampusDiversity today!
